December 25, 2008, 9:34 AMMERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL posted by alan 0 comments--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- December 16, 2008, 5:47 PMPlease Note: last posting date for UK deliveries is 20th December. posted by alan 0 comments--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well Friday night was the Wythall Tae Kwon Do Xmas party. Of course my participation in this martial art involves taking the kids to the dojang - actually I only enjoy doing this because there is a pub round the corner that my friend Steve and I can retire to while our kids are training. Anyway I donated a print to the annual raffle which proved to be quite popular (even though it was the wrong martial art) and was won by Dean Pugh (pictured below). ![]() P.S. Jed asked me to show a pic of him with the original which he (thinks) he has reserved for his bedroom posted by alan 0 comments --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- December 08, 2008, 10:33 AMI have started to think ahead to next year. I have almost finished the last couple of horror paintings (thats the theme not how they look of course). With only a few Robocop prints left before he is sold out, how about something like this....

It was nice to be showing the paintings etc at such a well attended show. Hopefully with the new people in charge the show can now move forwards and continue to attract large crowds. Anyway here is the stand with Jason and Sue looking extremely excited. ![]() We had some famous guests (well they looked famous after my night out on Friday) visit our stand and for once I actually managed to take a pic or two. ![]() Oh and I went and got my sketch of the Wicker Man signed by Britt Ekland. ![]() Now for the props and slops Props the organisers for getting memorabilia back on track Tim for purchasing the Reservoir Dogs painting (he has promised to send a pic of it in position on his wall) Neil from Knights of the Empire (could be something cool painted next year) Everyone else who came and said hello. Slops Me for being very hung over and struggling to string a sentence together on Saturday. Hmmm the show must have been OK if thats the only slop I can come up with. posted by alan 0 comments --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- November 04, 2008, 4:52 PMHere is the Collectormania Midlands show report.![]() props everyone who came by and said hello the guys from in2flicks who were happy to spend the show chatting to us the announcement over the tanoy for Berk Denedicts photo session (it made us laugh anyway) thats about it for the props which perhaps tells you much about the show! slops Yep, the whole show was dire "rant on" - Showmasters seemed at a loss to be able to replace their guests when they cancelled (I guess they'll blame the celebrity crunch). This led to the Emperors New Clothes syndrome of exposing the event to being a big nothing without the big name draws. It certainly helped to alienate any good will from the dealers who had to pay for the privilege of taking part in the train wreck - still you live and learn. It is disappointing to see that the next show is set up to piggy back Memorabilia at the NEC and appears to be nothing more than a more youthful Autographica. I think you will be able to guess which one we will be showing at. - "rant off" Finally, I will try and get a better pic of the Joker painting on the blog as soon as the weather improves. posted by alan 1 comments --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- October 31, 2008, 12:44 PMShowtime. We are working hard and getting ready for Collectormania next weekend. Just to give you an idea of scale and composition here is something not so serious with Sue holding it...
